Grilling on the roof of Toronto

All this sight-seeing makes you really hungry. The view from JB's roof top patio alone was gorgeous, as was the dinner afterwards.

Doors Open Toronto

Once per year a lots of normally closed buildings open their doors. We decided to enjoy this weekend to climb up to the 54 th floor of Canada Trust's skyscraper, to visit an orthodox church and some neighbors we hadn't discovered yet...

Muskoka in the City

These pictures were taken some weeks ago when the apple tree blossoms where in all their beauty. You can see the first attempts to organic gardening in the background... I started off with radish, green peas and romaine salad. And some 20 strawberries plants offered by Alexis who found them at an Amish place. Unfortunately, the squirrels liked these young plants somehow and decided to dig them out and feast on the roots. Some 7 of them survived up to today.
