Twilight concert at Applewood Homestead

A fun evening Johann and I attended was the big band concert at the historic Applewood Shaver Homestead (Stephanie was off for a seminar). We spend a beautiful evening with a lots of joyful music!
And as eminent fans we got "snap'd" as well.... Here's the web-version from the magazine.

Dad's time

Johann and Sebastian sometimes give Mummy a little bit of free time and join other dad's and kids at a special Dad's group. A very active bunch of individuals and a great way to connect and make new friends. At the occasion of Father's day, CTV came and filmed the "life of the group" and invited the organizer Brian for an interview to their studios. Here's the video footage: Make sure to stay also for the interview as other scenes will be displayed during Brian's comments. Here's the link if you would like to know more about http://www.dadstoday.org/

Johann's first Birthday Party

First we celebrated only all 3 of us (Johann took care of the cake, you'll see) and then with some little friends in the garden. A joyful day and a memorable first year, wishing us many more to come!
Some photo shots from the event....

Doors Open Toronto 2010

Once per year for one weekend in May, many buildings which are normally closed (mainly heritage or religious sites) open their doors for the general public. A great occasion to visit places you would never be able to see without such an event.
This time we decided to live some television experience at Omni TV newscast studios, take the elevator to Le Meridien King Edwards hotel's chrystal ballroom (closed since the seventies, buit still plenty of character, btw. King Edwards being the hotel where Yoko Ono and John Lennon staged on of their famous bed-ins for peace), admire the beautiful wall paintings in the Knesseth Synagogue at the Junction as well as a Tibetan temple (no pictures allowed).
Here are some more impressions....
